Training Leaders

The most important human element in the success of a new church plant or new RUF chapter is the organizing pastor or the RUF leader. The Network is implementing a program to have trained men available when they are needed for field assignments. The program will take advantage of all existing resources now available from MNA, MTW, and RUM (such as MNA’s Assessment Center). However, these resources will be augmented by:

• focused promotion of church planting and RUF opportunities within the Network churches;
• early identification of candidates by church sessions, campus ministries and seminaries;
• scholarship assistance, if necessary;
• intern assignments;
• formal church planting training.
